Annual Ijtima
This event is organized to familiarize the community about the facts and true principles, teachings of the Holy Quran, Hadees and the Sunnah. Renowned guests speakers are invited from pan India to deliver the key note speeches. The speeches are delivered in two languages, namely, Urdu and Tamil. There is a Question & Answer session which is open for the audience to ask queries, clarify doubts and seek solutions for daily issues. The program also has the rendition of popular Naats (poetry in praise of Prophet ﷺ.) A book compiled by Sibghathullahi Publications on relevant issues is released and disseminated to the attendees followed by felicitations for all supporting organizations, guest speakers and members on the Dias. The event is closed after offering Duas and reciting Salaam (Salutations) to Prophet ﷺ. The event witnesses more than 3000 people from various parts of South India and separate arrangements are made for ladies and shuttle services are provided for all those who require the service.
Jashne Meelad Un Nabi ﷺ
Meelad un Nabi, one of the most important dates of the Islamic calendar, marks the birth date of the Holy Prophet Mohammad ﷺ. This day is celebrated with joy & admiration by praising and remembering the kindness, simplicity, life & teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
This occasion is for all Muslims to praise & honour their love, respect & reverence of the Holy Prophet Mohammad ﷺ by organizing or attending celebrations, prayers, events, feasts and Naats gatherings as well as contributing to the welfare of the community.
At Gulamane Ahle Bayt, we are proud and honoured to celebrate Meelad un Nabi (ﷺ) every year, where more than 3000 people gather to learn, understand & follow the Life and teachings of Holy Prophet Mohammad ﷺ . The event programme includes sermons and Naats (poetry) among others with food, sweets and gifts distributed among all the participants at the event.
We further distribute goodie bags or gifts to sick patients at the government hospital, eye hospital and old age home around Arcot on this day.
Zikr-e-Shohada-e-Karbala R.A.
A prayer assembly is organized in remembrance of the Martyrs of the Battle of Karbala where Imaam Hussain R.A. was Martyred along with many of his family members and companions. This historic event took place on the 10th day of Muharram giving the religion of Islam victory over its detractors. This programme is conducted in this month and has a key note speaker who delivers a sermon on the subject and then food is served to all.
Jashne Ghous-Ul-Wara R.A
The 11th day of the month of Rabbius Sahni is celebrated globally in the honour of Shaikh Mohiudeen Abdul Khadir Gilani R.A also known as Ghous-e-Azam R.A., who is a renowned and revered Islamic Scholar and the “Leader of Sufis”. He is the founder of the Qadriya order which is one of the most popular orders in the world. Many people across the globe celebrate this Sufi Scholar by organizing feasts and this feast in the Indian Sub Continent is known as Gyarveen Shareef.
GAB celebrates this Sufi Scholar by organizing a programme inviting a key note speaker to deliver a sermon on the life, teachings, miracles and guidance of this Sufi. A hymn praising the Sufi is recited, followed by a feast served to all.
Youme Hindal Wali R.A.
The first six days of the month of Rajjab is celebrated in honour of the great Sufi Khaja Moinuddin Hassan Sanjari Chisti R.A. popularly known as Khaja Gharibe Nawaz R.A. He is the leader of all Sufis of India and his Dargah is very popular among Muslims and non Muslims across Asia. His Shrine situated in the city of Ajmer has the maximum visitors compared to any Sufi shrine in India.
A Mehfil-e-Sama generally known as Sufi Qawwali night is organized by Gulamane Ahle Bayt to celebrate and remember this great Sufi of India. All the participants and people participate with great reverence and commemoration in the celebrations.
